Grammar Patterns
-아/어요 (날씨 묘사) descriptive adjectives for weather Korean weather is described with adjectives that conjugate like verbs. The polite ending -아/어요 attaches to the stem: 덥다 → 더워요, 춥다 → 추워요 (note the ㅂ irregular).
오늘 날씨가 더워요. — The weather is hot today.
겨울에는 추워요. — It is cold in winter.
봄에는 따뜻해요. — It is warm in spring.
-아/어서 (이유) because (cause and effect) Connects a cause to its result. Attached to a verb or adjective stem, it means 'because ...'. Commonly used to explain weather effects, e.g. 'Because it rained, I brought an umbrella.'

더워서 창문을 열었어요. — It was hot, so I opened the window.

-(으)ㄹ 것 같다 it seems / probably will (weather guess) Used to make a guess or prediction. Attached to a verb/adjective stem, it means 'it seems' or 'probably will'. Common in weather forecasts, e.g. 'It looks like it will rain.'
내일 비가 올 것 같아요. — It looks like it will rain tomorrow.
오후에 추울 것 같아요. — It will probably be cold in the afternoon.
눈이 많이 올 것 같아요. — It seems like it will snow a lot.
