Grammar Patterns
-아서/어서 cause and reason (so / because) 二つの節をつないで原因・理由を表します(「Aなので、B」)。前の節が理由です。ㅏ/ㅗの後は아서、それ以外は어서を使います。
영화가 슬퍼서 울었어요. — I cried because the movie was sad.
날씨가 좋아서 기분이 좋아요. — I'm in a good mood because the weather is nice.
-(으)ㄹ 것 같다 guess / it seems 気持ちや状況についての推測を表します(「〜しそうだ/〜だと思う」)。子音の後は을 것 같다、母音の後はㄹ 것 같다を付けます。
내일 시험이라서 긴장될 것 같아요. — I have an exam tomorrow, so I think I'll be nervous.
이 영화는 무서울 것 같아요. — This movie seems like it will be scary.
-게 되다 to come to / end up (change of state) 自分の意志ではなく状況によってある状態・気持ちになったことを表します(「〜するようになる」)。動詞・形容詞の語幹に게 되다を付けます。
한국에 살면서 김치를 좋아하게 됐어요. — Living in Korea, I came to like kimchi.
그 소식을 듣고 걱정하게 됐어요. — After hearing the news, I ended up worrying.
